It is good that CCP keeps wanting to improve the customer experience, but it seems they are getting out of touch with what their customers want. Eve became a success because of great gameplay. Our gameplay is pew. Market pew, rat pew, mission pew, wormhole pew, industry pew, mining pew and most of all pew pew. Make the pew better. Then make it shinier.
If you had bothered to be on the test server you would know that this post you made is full of troll.
1) The CarbonUI Framework changes how your UI is rendered making it more efficient AND prettier. It lays the groundwork for future improvements in both quality and appearance and the eventual NEW UI(which I got to try out with the experimental version a while back).
2) You will see a noticeable frame rate improvement in station and in space. They aren't out of touch...but clearly you are either ignorant of their intentions or just a nay-sayer. GBTW either way dude.
Remind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart.

People have the right to choose to buy what they like, eat what they like, do what they, sniff what they like, without the N a z i brigade coming in with jack-boots telling them what they can't do.
wow manage to godwin the thread much? Aside from weak troll-fu let us just pretend for a second that Macintosh computers are not uber gaming rigs. (they aren't you know).
PC's are more flexible, but have issues with being less uniform in hardware requiring driver providers and windows to be more robust in what is supported. This opens up avenues of attack due to the fact that your environment is so much more diverse.
You are lucky that EVE is supported for OS X and Linux AT ALL. The fact that you expect everyone to cater to you speaks volumes. The product gets marketed to the segments that are large. I.E. I'd rather sell my product in the USA than Tazmania.
You have the right to choose your hardware and software platform yes, but you don't have the right to force the developers to cater to you. You have one side right but you forgot about the other side's freedom to choose.
And If I feel like wearing a metallic green t-shirt with an orange puff vest a la 1992 with shag carpeting for pants then I damn well will. On the other hand I won't force you to let me in your house. Fair? I think so.

RE: graphics updating. nvidia 9600gt 2ghz dual core 2gb winxp doesnt like character creator on full whack, very slow. Heaven forbid users on integrated graphics.
MMOs are not supposed to be restricted to hard core gamers, their appeal is to a wider audience hence why they should run on modest hardware. EVE is not COD.
EVE isn't minecrack either. And EVE is for the hardcore. I want my learning cliff to weed out the whinging cork sniffing, undedicated-carebear-staring, and honorless scum that want everything to be served to them on a silver platter. This is a sandbox and if I feel like kicking over your castle at least have the ******* to fight back.
EVE is an ever evolving game. Have a better attitude.
